This sword was acquired by the production for use in 'Warcraft' (2016).
Cast plastic hilt with bamboo blade. This prop was constructed for fight scenes.
The Warcraft Lothar swords were made in foam (safety for horseback riding), urethane rubber (fighting x 8), bamboo, aluminum (hero hand prop), and steel (beauty shots, only 2 were made). The urethane swords were made originally for fighting but were deemed too heavy by the stunt crew necessitating the construction of light weight bamboo swords. This is an excellent example of one of those swords used in the production of the movie.
